Leaving September in colour, entering October in colour.

Hi, I'm Inês. I make clothes from discarded towels.
I've been doing this for the past 8 years, turning old, forgotten and unwanted towels into colourful, one-of-a-kind fashion pieces ♻️

I like my fashion maximalist, playful, a little strange and definitely not beige.
This is Trash Couture: my way of giving old textiles a new life and making fashion out of things that were never meant to be fashion.

October, I'm ready for you. Just don't expect me to tone down the colours 😜

This dress smelled like summer before I even sewed it.

Nothing really changed. Well… maybe a little.

It became my beach companion, and every day it brought home a few more grains of sand, a little more sunscreen, and that smell of the sea. The summer smell in this towel is real!

I’m usually much more of a maximalism, explosion-of-colour kind of girl, but when I picked up this towel at Volkshilfe Oberösterreich, I immediately knew what I wanted to make. Simple, basic, but still very me.

We took these photos in the woods in my hometown, Caldas da Rainha. I hadn’t been there in years, and it is the perfect spot to enjoy a little bit of coolness, green and silence.
