Since 1999, two collections per year have been produced under the direction of the designer Lena Kvadrat. They are sold in mono brand stores in Vienna, at international trade shows and through distributors in Europe, Japan, China, Canada and the US.

What happens between the body and clothing?

A relationship emerges.

Clothing touches the body, but it does not simply cover it.
It changes the distance between the body and the world.

The body gives clothing movement.
Clothing gives the body a new sense of itself.

A dialogue emerges between them.

What remains when everything changes?

Not the form.
Not the material.
Not the image.

What remains is the relationship.

What has emerged between the body, the garment, time, and the person.

Form changes.
The body changes.
Perception changes.

But if a connection has been made —
something continues to live.

Perhaps this is
what we call style.

The Axis

Clothing is an instrument for exploring consciousness.

The body is a place of encounter.

Space is the possibility of encounter.

Yoga is the establishment of connection.

Encounter is connection.

Connection is the possibility of encounter.

And so, everything we do through the body, fabric, form, and time is an exploration of one thing:

how connection comes into being.

Clothing is an instrument of encounter.

Metabolism is the theme of the new FW 26/27 collection.
It continues our axis of perception.

Not only as a biological process,
but as an exchange:
between the body and its environment,
between the person and the fabric,
between the inner and the outer,
between the past, the present, and the future.

Metabolism is the way one state transforms into another.

Nothing remains unchanged.
The body changes the fabric.
The fabric changes the body.
Movement changes form.
Time changes perception.

And so clothing becomes not an object,
but a participant in the process.

It does not simply exist on the body.
It enters into an exchange with it.

And perhaps it is within this exchange
that a new state comes into being.
