Introducing Deb to SheVar

If you are a “dab hand” with knitting needles or a crochet hook you would remember Deb from Hand to Hand Crafts, originally in Hamilton then Marketown and Market Square in the Hunter St Mall until 2000. Hand to Hand Crafts was a treasure trove of all things knitting and crochet and now Deb has brought her knowledge, skill and a fabulous collection of quality, boutique wool and accessories to SheVar.

Knitting and crochet has become “fashionable” again and Deb saw a gap in the market where knitters like herself had to order their wools online as there was no one in Newcastle who stocked great quality wools. No longer will you have to order your wool online but you’ll be able to touch, feel and enjoy the wonderful collection Deb has collated. Not only quality known brands such as “Heirloom, Patons, Rowan, Malabrigo and Cleckheaton” but new boutique brands too and Deb’s very own label “Blooms for Winter” a 100% merino wool Deb hand dyes herself right here in Newcastle NSW.

NEWS FLASH!!
You may have noticed I haven’t posted on Social Media recently or you may have been in store over the past few weeks and found me MIA.

That’s because I decided to take a little time out to explore new things and I’ve now come to the difficult decision to hand the SheVar reins over for the next 6 months to a beautiful new caretaker. I’ll still be in the background, working an odd day here and there and you’ll still see my face on the socials but I’m going to take some time to look to the future and see what else I can achieve.

You might have already met Deb in store who has already started to introduce a brand new concept to SheVar by combining fashion and accessories with knitting and crochet. Don’t fear…you’ll still find your favourite clothing and accessory labels in store and Deb will be introducing some new labels moving into Summer too.

Deb is a “crafty” woman who saw a gap in the market for ladies looking to buy high quality wools. Knitting and crocheting has made a comeback to our fashion world and Deb herself is a master of all things wool and craft as well as a bonafide fashionista.

So, I just wanted to take this opportunity to let you know that it’s business as usual at SheVar, although you won’t be seeing my face as much in store. Thankyou so much for your continued support and I’m really going to miss my daily chats with you all. Make sure to continue following SheVar on FB and Instagram and look out for all our fabulous new season Summer styles.
