🐟❤️ Bangus — a taste of childhood and a memory of Papa.

Growing up, bangus (milkfish) was part of our everyday life. We enjoyed it fried, in sinigang or paksiw, as rellenong bangus, freshly grilled, or dried fish. 🇵🇭

But bangus was more than just food for our family. It was Papa’s source of livelihood and it reminds me of the hard work and sacrifices he made for us.

Papa passed away when I was only 14 years old. 🥹💔 I was still young but the memories of our childhood and the life we shared will always remain in my heart.

Now, whenever I see or eat bangus, I am reminded of Papa, his livelihood and the humble life we grew up with.

Years may pass but the memories of a father’s love and sacrifices never fade. I miss you, Papa. ❤️🙏

📖 Gospel – October 13, 2026 Luke 11:37–41 Jesus reminds us that true goodness comes from within. It is not enough to appear good on the outside; our hearts must be filled with love, kindness, generosity and compassion. God looks beyond appearances and sees what is in our hearts.

Still on this spine journey, still taking it one day at a time and choosing to stay positive. 🙏❤️ Healing takes patience and I’m holding on to hope.
