You won’t need any fancy equipment for this project like sergers(overlockers), just a straight stitch sewing machine and a basic sewing kit.
I make all my garments and accessories out of natural fibre fabrics in colours and prints I know I will use time and time again.
And lastly in the words of Vivienne Westwood ‘Buy less, choose well, make it last’
I would add to that ‘Make it yourself’ Enjoy ♥️

You will learn, with easy step by step instructions, basic pattern drafting skills as well as handy sewing techniques such as boxing a corner, lining & bagging out, under-stitching and hand stitching from this sewing tutorial.
I have broken this project down into simple steps for beginners as I remember starting out learning to sew and the challenges I faced and I’ve made the tutorial I needed back then.

The wide crossbody strap is not only comfortable for carrying heavy shopping loads, it’s also a part of the zero-waste design of the bag.

I’m very excited to announce I have just uploaded my forth video to YouTube.
This is an in-depth sewing tutorial for beginners with lots of straight sewing and handy industry tips and tricks.
I have designed an easy sew minimalist market bag with fashion details such as a wide strap.
I gently walk you through step by step sewing techniques like boxing a corner, lining with an understitch and pocket placement.
I hope you enjoy making and using this comfortable, oversized linen shopping bag as much I as do.
