✨ Closed for now ✨
Yesterday, the last of your orders were collected. It’s such a strange and bittersweet feeling saying farewell for now.
I’m hoping to have at least a three month break whilst I focus on caring for my mum who’s in sharp decline and also caring for my family and myself, who have been greatly affected.
I am hoping to reopen in some capacity a little later in the year, but we will just have to see for now. I’m honestly not looking too far ahead into the future.
I’m still here, so reach out if you would like to chat.
But for now, it’s farewell, and thank you for all of your wonderful support - I truly have the best customers!

Friends,
I’ve decided to shut up shop until further notice.
My last day of trade will be Sunday, and I’ll be closing my doors at 5pm.

Friends,
There is no easy way to say this… I am going to be taking Buttony Handmade off in a different direction, and after much consideration, this direction does not include hair bows.
As some of you know, my beautiful Mum is unwell and unlikely to improve and as a result, I’ve become her carer. As this takes up a majority of my time, I’ve decided to scale back Buttony and focus on crafting items which make my heart sing and bring me joy amongst the sadness.
Don’t get me wrong, I love bows!! It’s just that I’d like this space to be a retreat from the relentlessness of my life.
I’ll be crafting small batch treasure keepers and maybe some other things as the mood strikes - just don’t expect bows for (maybe) forever!
The good news is, that I have bundled up all of my remaining bow stock and products into suorise bundles which are a huge 25% off!!
So if you’d like to stock up, do it now! There are a few left and they are truly the sweetest little treasures.

Friends, I need your help!! 🙏
Over the last few weeks, you may have noticed my store has been closed. This is because I am in the process of negotiating life as a cater to my mother, who is very unwell. It’s been an exhausting time, leaving me unable to work or give time to Buttony.
This weekend just gone, I have managed to scrape some time together to craft some autumn bows and these, along with my usual range, will be available at 7.30 this evening.
I have an enormous favour to ask of you… we as a family are feeling the pinch from me not being able to work and I really need for this launch to be successful!

**Rant Allert!!**
Hi friends,
I may be being sensitive but in recent months I’ve had many requests from people about collabs. In this week alone, I’ve had six people ask me if I’d collab with them.
Myself, along with many other small business owners in this field work very hard to bring our clients a beautiful, practical and treasured product. My treasures are, I feel, just that. Tiny little treasures, crafted with thought, love, intention and so much time.
I travel to the fabric store and lovingly pick out your fabrics, hand wash and hand iron the fabric, carefully cut it and stitch it. Each bow is tied to perfection and nothing leaves the studio which isn’t “perfect”.
Every time someone asks for a “collab” (ie something for free) a little part of me dies inside. It’s heartbreaking to see people who supposedly “love small handmade businesses” want free stuff from us. Honestly, I know I charge a premium for my product, but my product is so so worth it.
Buttony has, unfortunately had to become my sole source of income this year due to the fact that I’m now caring for my beautiful mum and an unable to work outside the home.
So as you can imagine, I can’t just give my product away to everyone who likes my bows but doesn’t want to pay for them. If you are unable to purchase one of my@products, that’s fine! Like my posts, share my stories and remember me for when you can.
Just please don’t ask me to work for free ❤️❤️❤️
