Really wish Bunnings had saved the day, but unfortunately that’s not how things went! Gosh, who would have predicted this set up would take so damn long 😅

Chaotic bump in aside, I couldn’t be happier with the final result!! Make sure you check out Harbor Collective and all their wonderful vendors. So happy to be one of them!! 🥰

Ps. Bridget joined Lauren and I on TikTok live for the whole thing. Shout out to both Bridget and Lauren for having me in your absolutely beautiful space ❤️

Hands up if you love to have everything arranged in a rainbow 🙋‍♀️ Earlier this year I decided that my goal with my business is to have every product in every colour - quite a big task, I’ll admit. It’s not quite feasible to bring every colour combo of these flower earrings to a market, so I’ve brought my favourites. BUT I can make them for you in 17 different colours. Yes, SEVENTEEN. You know where to find them 🥰

Huge thank you to Harbor Collective for featuring my work in their absolutely stunning collective 🥰💞

Today, the world lost someone wonderful. I think we all thought she’d be here forever. Like for many of us, her music has an important place in my life. Not a day went by without Dolly playing in the cafe. Her beautiful vocals were a core part of The Village Groove Cafe. Her songs played on road trips in my van. Her music is part of so many wonderful memories.

I bought this Dolly til I Die T-shirt from Ginger Taylor many years ago, and it became a part of my cafe uniform. I decided to get the design tattooed, so Dolly is always with me. Once I’m finished with my Britney jacket, I was planning to make a Dolly jacket. Perhaps by cutting out the design from the now well worn t-shirt, but I don’t know if I want to cut it. Either way, a Dolly jacket feels essential to make now, given the news.

I remember hearing somewhere that Dolly has recorded herself singing every letter in every note and everything that would be needed to allow more of her music to be released. As she had written so many more songs than she was able to record. I hope that will be done in the way that honours her wishes and her memory. Dolly, the world will always love you.

Don’t worry, the patches I made will be saved for another project (maybe you’ve got some ideas?). Absolutely loving how this jacket is looking, it’s much more what I had in mind. I’m thinking of adding appliqué letters on the back maybe? Definitely needs something more. Let me know your ideas! xx

These were made in March 2024, when I was going through a phase of making my own clothes. Something I don’t get time to do much anymore, but is a very enjoyable hobby as you get to make clothes EXACTLY how you want them to be. However, I am in the process of crafting my Britney denim jacket, which I guess kinda counts? Which, by the way, I completely changed how I’m doing it and I’m not using the patches I made for it (they’ll be saved for another project). Stay tuned for the video on that. It’ll be up as soon as I get a moment to edit it xx

Like with everything, there’s levels to it. Sewing can be difficult, if you make complex pieces. But it can also be easy! And fun! Learning to use a sewing machine is a great skill that will be useful in life in many ways. My hope in this video is to show that you don’t need to be intimidated by it, if you want to learn, you can 🫶
