There is So much to celebrate - it was April 2013 that Daily Style first appeared. It has been a wonderful 10 years, Daily Style first started out as a fashion inspiration page then along came our blog. A quick recap had me thiking about it all, A page full of fashion that we loved, as mums with small kids we were needing to get our groove back and Daily Style helped with that. Bianca & I posted all our fav finds along with styles we loved. Then came our Daily Style Challenges - wear stripes, add some red lipstick, they were fun and enjoyed by many local mums.
We then ventured into contacting wholesalers and importing fun fashion peices. We had lots of regular customers and use to sell out of most styles. We even hosted our own Daily Style Ladies Night in which was a fun night with our closet and loyal customers.
I then moved onto ordering through Australian wholesaler's and stocking Australian fashion labels, then launched our website platform. Markets, Ladies Days / Nights and fashion parades became our thing - everyone wanted us to attend their events. It was such a fun time, but also tiring with little kids in toe.
Over the past 10 years Daily Style has attended many events, markets, had lots of open days and sold many peices of clothing. Having a small business is fun and rewarding, but it also takes alot of time. You have to wear many hats and you don't get a chance to switch off.....ever. I do all the buying, customer service, email, IT / Website, marketing & socials. It's alot especially when working fulltime, looking after your kids, being an uber driver, chef and house cleaner and volunteering in many extra roles.
Which brings me to this -' I will be slowly wrapping up Daily Style over the next month or so. My heart hurts as I've loved every minute, but I don't physically have the capacity to continue right now. Circumstances may change in the future but right now this is the best decision for me.
I couldn't have gone on for so long without the help of a few Amazing friends in my life
Bianca Curness - has been there from the start, shared a vision, you would not believe how many text messages have been sent between us about Daily Style. We lived & breathed it and had so much fun together and it cemented our life long friendship.
April Burdett - has such great vision, saw what Daily Style could be and wanted it to be that for me. Her attention to detail and creative input will never be forgotten, our days doing photoshoots were the best I wish we did more and continued to follow that vision.
Lauren Robertson - Lauren Robertson Lauren - is the cheerleader we all need and want in your team. Will help whenever she can, and has helped me in some pretty crazy last minute times. She will step in and up for you in a heart beat. The friend that will always be by your side.
Of course none of this would've been achievable without the support of my family and biggest champion Scott Turner,
Riley & Caelan. I missed many days and sporting events so I could do Daily Style and these 3 let me do so with love and our money 💰 🤑
There are many more too, thank you you have all helped, helping me pack for markets or pack up, designs for logos, modelling, photos, helping me decide what styles to order - it all helped and meant the world to me.
To the many that have been supporting me for the past 10 years as my customers, I want to say my sincere Thank You. Many customers have become friends and I will miss the many pick ups that become half hour / hour chats and catch ups, but I'll still be here! I love you all
I would love the chance to see you all over the next few weeks as I clear out all my stock. I will keep you all in the loop as to when I have open days or a market.
I will miss Daily Style & you all. Xx
