I love birds and especially the dynamic of how they relate to each other. I have seen them nurture the sick and disenfranchised birds of the flock and I have seen them assert their status on other birds to be the first to steal the seed I leave in the bird feeder. The feisty rainbow lorikeet rules the bird feeder and makes the crows, parrots, cockatoos and bush turkeys cower with fear....

I have gifted many of the quilts I have made over the years. It was lovely to see my 42 bottles on the wall quilt draped over my friend’s lounge, well used and well loved. That’s what quilting is all about for me. The giving. What’s quilting mean to you?

It’s been a day of sorting through old photos. I found this quilt I designed and made in 2020! Aptly named Hearts and Rings. I started writing a pattern. I must perfect it and publish it.

It’s still warm and muggy and the rain has been falling for days. A perfect opportunity to get some unfinished projects done. The aircon is running and the Bernina Q24 is humming away.
