PLEASE NOTE
It is with tears in our eyes and a heavy heart, that we announce that our last Millies store will be closing, with Saturday 23rd December being our final day of trading.
We could never of imagined that the global pandemic that struck at the beginning of 2020 would have had such a long lasting effect. To have traded through those difficult times and then to be hit hard by the global financial crisis this year has certainly not been easy.
We would love to thank all our customers and the community for your ongoing support over the last 10 1/2 years. We are going to miss you all, there was always lots of tears, laughter and lengthy, meaningful conversations. We certainly can say many of you are now our friends. We appreciate you all.
To all of you who supported our many charity drives, including:
- Collecting pillows for families of domestic violence for Uniting Care.
- Collection of personal hygiene items for Share the Dignity.
- Collection of personal items for 's in the Bag.
- Selling ribbons and loom bands made by us for The Allison Baden-Clay Foundation.
- Donation of animal medical supplies for wildlife effected by bush fires for The Rescue Collective.
- Collection for the drought effected farmers for Buy a Bale of Hay.
- Donations of dog and cat food for our Australian farmers during the droughts.
- Donation of household items, personal items and clothing for our Fijian friends after two tropical cyclones for the Fijian Consulate
- Donation of toys for the Ipswich Toy Run.
- Collection of water bottles for the drought effected community of Stanthorpe for the Sunshine Coast Water Angels where we collected a phenomenal B Double truck of bottled water.
- Fundraising for Shave for a Cure where Josh and I shaved our heads.
- Collection of food and household items, for the flood effected community of Northern New South Wales.
- Collection of blankets and jackets for the homeless in Brisbane for Streetlight.
All these charities are so close to our hearts. We thank you all again for your continued generosity.
Thank you to the centre owners and management team for their continued support through these hard times.
The journey we have taken during this time with our Millies stores has been a big part of our lives and we will cherish the memories forever. Wishing you all love and happiness, Jess, and Lara xx
