The time has come, an end of an era.

This amazing small business of mine has reached its lifespan for now... I haven't yet decided if this is a see you soon or a goodbye just yet. It's hard to let go of my small business baby.

It has served it's purpose and it served that purpose well.

It allowed me to stay home with my children before they started school and gave me a life outside of being a mother.

I am closing down the retail side of my business, selling the bulk of my fabrics and having a rest from hustling in all my spare time.

I will still accept custom orders from time to time, although the time frame for completion will be 4 weeks minimum.

I have recently gone back to work full time and I don't have the time it deserves to continue.

For this week only, I have 50% off EVERYTHING from Xander Rae at the Self Made Market in Lavington Square.
Sales ends on the 6th of May 2024.

After that, I will post what's left on my stories for non locals to snag up at bargin prices!

🌿 Meet the Juno Top 🌿

I'm so excited to introduce to you the first of the women's collection - The Juno Top! 😍

This top is going to be the most versatile top in your wardrobe!

You can style it 4 different ways to get 4 completely different looks!

Now I'm excited to show you all the other versions soon! But right now I'm wearing the wrap look!

And although I am wearing pants with it, you have to trust me when I say this top goes with everything!! 😍😍

Available in sizes XS - 3XL.
I am wearing the L size, which would roughly correspond to an Australian size 12.

Right now I will be only releasing this in a white, only because white goes with everything and currently I can't sew any more samples to see how other colours look 🥲

I've got terrible news!! 😭😭

Last week after I sewed up a storm of samples of a new women's wear range and didn't take any photos because I was too busy creating..... I came across a snag!

Last Monday afternoon, I dislocated my shoulder while trying a new sport activity - paddle boarding!! (Who would have thought!)

I have to wear this sling for another week and wait for further instructions, all depending on healing progress.

I have taken very little photos of my creations, and it's very difficult to get myself dressed atm 🙈😅

So the release will be on hold for now.... until I can fluently get dressed and take some photos of these amazing pieces!

I will be showing some sneak peaks of what I can though! I'm devastated I can't keep sewing a few more samples I wanted to do as well. 😪

The best is yet to come 👌

Have you heard the news?

Xander Rae will be keeping its home in the SelfMade Market Place a little longer! 🥳

The plan was to stay in the shop until New Years, but the team from have decided to keep the shop open and make it a permanent thing for the future!

And I've decided to keep my clothing in the shop!

You guys are loving the items I put out and I'm loving having g my creativity flowing again sewing up a storm!

I hope you had the most magical Christmas with your family and friends!

I decided to stay off my phone as much as I could so I could enjoy every moment. Which meant I forgot to do a post on actual Christmas Day 😅

We are entering that phase of life where our siblings are starting their families too, and having my nieces and nephews around, watching them play and enjoy the magic of Christmas is priceless.

I hadn't been home to see my parents and younger siblings in months also, so the last few days were so nice to just relax and just be in the present moment.

Who else thinks this year has passed them by so quickly??

I was just reading old posts and realising how quick this year has slipped away.

Going from a WAHM to having both children in school and me getting a "real" job, this year has had a lot of growing and a lot of change.

What makes me smile, though, is that I've finally found a great balance in my work and home life, and I've started sewing and creating again without messing up that balance 👌🥰

Sometimes it's the little things... ❤️
