Let's clear the air! My brand, Kapa & Co., isn't an official partner of the Finke Desert Race. Instead, it's my way of celebrating this incredible event and cheering on my family who participate.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who's supported me on this journey. Being an entrepreneur can be tough, but your encouragement means the world.
On a personal note, I'm Kelly, a resident of Alice Springs for over a decade. My husband and our two motorbike-loving kids are huge fans of the Finke Desert Race! Inspired by the Dakar Rally of my childhood and the Finke's infectious energy, I dreamed of creating a clothing and accessories line that reflected our family's passion.
It all started because, frankly, I craved merchandise that wasn't just for the guys. So, Kapa & Co. was born! We aim to do two things: shine a brighter spotlight on the Finke Desert Race and offer unforgettable keepsakes for those who experience it.
By featuring the race in our designs, I believe we're contributing positively to its local economy. It's been amazing to see friends from all over the world (and even some Aussies!) discover the Finke through Kapa & Co. This increased awareness can only be a good thing, right? Here's to hoping more people get to experience this thrilling event next year!
A huge thank you to everyone who visited our Kapa & Co. stall at the Finke Street Party! As promised, $1 from each item sold has been donated to the Royal Flying Doctor Service, a vital organisation that provides essential medical care across Central Australia.
