❤️A few words from the heart…..❤️
Bare with me, this may be lengthy but worth the read…Settle in with a wine, beer or a bourbon!
This will be my last post for Desert Wave Surf….for 16 years this has been my life and I have loved each and every moment.
The minute we announced we were closing, you as a community expressed your sadness to see us go, your gratitude for our service and kindness that will stay with me forever. You all dropped in to tell us what you loved about DW, to check on us and to wish us all well…..this is why I love Alice, it’s the community❤️
I thank each and every customer from the bottom of my heart, for your support throughout the good times and the bad.
Thank you for checking in over covid and buying a drink bottle or socks that you really didn’t need just to support me🙏🏻
Thank you to my staff, without you, work wouldn’t have been half as much fun, it rarely felt like a job to me and I was blessed to have each and everyone of you, most recently, Haley, Precious, Emilie and Eryn but all of you from the last sixteen years (too many to list🤗)
🌟And the biggest extra special thank you to my right hand gal,Tennille…. you are the “we” in every sentence about DW….this business wasn’t just me, it was us. Thank you for your patience and your energy, your unfaltering motivation and creativity and especially your shoulder to lean on and cry on💞
To my friends and family, thank you for listening for 16 years, I bet you are glad it’s finally over😆
My Alice Plaza family, you have advised me, listened to me, supported me and supplied me with the best coffee and juices and chips, gonna really miss you fam🤩
And lastly, thank you to everyone that showed up to help when I had 10 days to de-fit the store….Paddy, Jade and Carey, couldn’t have done it without you and cannot thank you enough, so much gratitude for you guys ….. Elle for slotting in wherever I needed you and taking to it like a boss. Penny, Nicole, Poppy, Precious, Jess, Emily, Gesu, Sam, David, Gurns, Jayden, for coming to my aid at the drop of a hat. You guys are the best, such good people.
Alice people, you rock, take care and I will see you when I am looking at ya!
