Yes, we are getting asked a lot of questions about how it works.
Basically you camp on the property and work an hour or so a day instead of paying camp fees.
What would you do?
Being an animal sanctuary the jobs are wide are varied. There is usually a looong to-do list and you get to choose what you would like to do! Find something to suit your skills, learn a new skill or even step totally outside your comfort zone, your choice.
Being a registered charity there is volunteer's insurance as well as public liability to ensure you are protected plus the reassurance that we are annually audited.
Yes! You can stay for a while, no rush around here, just as long as you stay respectful and considerate.
There is a portaloo, a hot shower (in an ensuite tent), a camp kitchen and a firepit/conversation area. Bushwalking, swimming in the dam (if it ever rains again) lots of animals to interact with and supermarkets and all mod cons are only 7k away!
