Proof of Life post! 🌿

It must be the grief that made me want to spend a mortgage repayment on overpriced food, rides, and showbags for my babes, all under the 'at least we are making memories and we are grateful we get to do that'.

I know it's been really heavy around here lately. But loss is heavy. And so is figuring out a way to move forward in a world without someone you love in it. So please know I appreciate you all always taking me for exactly where I am in life.

I rode the ferris wheel today for her. I smiled today. I also cried. I also know how lucky I am to still be here doing all the things.

My beautiful friend Bec 🦋

It is with the deepest sadness and an ache in my chest that I share with you all that my Bec passed away in the early hours of monday morning. The pain of her passing has been unbearable, my heart feels broken, and the grief is all consuming. I will be forever grateful to her parents for allowing me to be with Bec in her final hours. To be able to stroke her hair, kiss her cheek, and tell her I loved her one last time with her promise to me that one day when it's my turn that she will be the first person waiting for me.

The day I took this photo years and years ago, I remember looking over at her, thinking she was the most beautiful I'd ever seen her, and this is how I ask you all to remember her. Mermaid hair with the brightest smile.

Please keep Bec's parents, her brother, her children's father Chris, and her precious children Toby, Jasper, and Pippa in your thoughts and prayers. The loss they are feeling is immense.

Bec, wherever you are, I love you. I love you so much. And I miss you.

S O B E R S T U F F 🫶

I've had ALOT of stuff said to me on my sober journey. These are five things that were said to me that I wish no other person starting a sober journey had to hear. They hurt. And made it even harder. It's important to remember that when someone removes alcohol from THEIR life, it has absolutely nothing to do with you.

My dms are always open. It's never too late to re-evaluate your relationship with alcohol.
