One of the most common questions we get asked when it comes to using cloth nappies is WHAT DO I DO WITH THE POO! 💩🤔

I get it, it can seem overwhelming but I promise it’s not as scary as you’re thinking! Let me take you through it!

Exclusively breastfed or formula fed baby p**p can go straight into the wash. Once baby starts solids, there are a few methods you can use to deal with the p**p. Its a bit of trial and error to find what suits you but here are a few preferred methods;

1. If solid, plop directly into toilet. Use a wipe to push whatever wont budge.

2. Dunk your nappy in the loo and flush. Hang on tight!

3. Use a sprayer that attaches to your toilet. These must be installed by a licensed plumber.

4. Use a disposable liner. Always dispose of liners in the bin.

Ok so the main aim of the game is that it catches the 💩but that’s only one thing our mighty cloth nappies do!

Let’s run through a few facts here:

1. 🌎 Cloth Nappies are environmental warriors! Per child, they save approximately 6,000 disposable nappies from landfill. Think about those kind of numbers with each disposable nappy taking 500 years to break down. Not only that but out Aussie landfills are not equipped for treated that much human waste 💩

2. 💰They are the cost-of-living crisis conquerors. They won’t reduce the cost of a bag of chips at Woolies or battle the banks for a better interest rate but they will save you thousands of dollars in disposable nappies 🤑.

3. 💃They are a fashion statement! We can all admit that putting a disposable Nappy on your little one doesn’t quite spark joy does it? Well I’ll say that there is nothing cuter than a cloth bummed baby! Cute prints and designs really do become a part of your little ones outfits and you’ll love your new stash!
