Thank you to everyone who helped make our 135th birthday so special. We have been delighted and thrilled by your wonderful messages, good wishes and your stories and memories about the store. They remind us how fortunate we are to be part of such a remarkable community.
It's hard to imagine what Alexander Miller would think if he could see the business today. When A. Miller & Co. first opened its doors on 14 July 1891, he could scarcely have imagined that, 135 years later, the store would still be proudly serving generations of local families.
The original opening was quite an occasion. A brass band played from the balcony, horse cabs brought customers to the store and, of course, there was a grand opening sale!
Some traditions are simply too good to lose.
So, in true Miller's tradition, we're celebrating with a big Winter Sale.
