Update on what is happening with Berrima Patchwork and Stroud Street Textiles.
The past year has been a very busy one for us and we are grateful for everyone who has supported us with transitioning our bricks and mortar store to being online only. Our move to our new premises is happening very soon.
With our expansion of the Stroud Street Textiles brand our new printing machinery simply would not be suitable for our Berrima property and so a new industrial factory was needed. Earlier this year we sold the property in Berrima and are now in the process of moving.
The big announcement…..
We have a new premises!
We purchased the property last year but it needed a bit of work to be suitable….. it was vacant land with an approved DA. Yes we are building a purpose built light industrial property for our business.
Over the last several months we have been involved in the final approvals to start building, it has been a very long and at times frustrating process (don’t even get us starting on dealing with the local council) but we are very excited as the building is well in the way. Construction has started, we have an amazing team involved in the build who we cannot praise enough. We believe in supporting small local business and this build is no different.
We have always shared our journey and we will be sharing photos over the next couple of months of the build.
We will still be in the Southern Highlands but a new suburb, exact address we will share closer to move in time. At the moment there are business decisions still to be made until after we move in so won’t be answering direct questions about our future trading. Just keep an eye on our social media pages for updates directly from us.
As for our online business - with the move we won’t be trading as normal. Stroud Street Textiles yardage fabric will be removed from the website shortly as we need to turn off our machinery for the move. We don’t anticipate starting printing again until around September so if you are wanting any of the fabrics please place your orders now. Over the next few weeks we will be updating many of our stock levels to reflect what we have in hand. Orders may take a little longer than normal to be processed during the move and we appreciate your upstanding.
Phone line we hope to take the number with us in the move. Leave a msg on the answering machine and we will try to get back to you as soon as possible, please understand it may be a couple of days. You can also email us if you need to contact us.
Pick up from the Berrima property will cease at the end of June and won’t resume until we are settled at the new property.
We are very excited for this move and what the future holds for Berrima Patchwork & Stroud Street Textiles.
