To our dear customers, friends and followers,
To say that the last 18 months has been going to plan would be a lie, but you already knew that, because the last 18 months hasn’t gone according to anyone’s plan, not here in Melbourne anyway.
As you can well imagine, retail has been hit hard, along with so many other vibrant industries which we used to enjoy in our everyday lives, and take for granted, without a second thought. The hit to retail has meant that my personal goals for Pearl Rock Boutique and myself have been rendered out of reach and unachievable, therefore, I have decided to set new goals and realign my purpose.
Unfortunately, the new trajectory cannot practically include a bricks and mortar location at this time. Since we haven’t been successful in finalising a sale of the business, we have decided to move to a 100% online model for the foreseeable future. This will also include occasional pop up shop locations and private shopping events, as a supplement to our online presence. The structure is still a work in progress and as we finalise plans, we’ll share them with you.
At this stage, we will be vacating our premises at Balcombe Road at the end of September, which means that our last week of trading will be sometime around mid September, to be confirmed.
We will be clearing out a wide range of stock in preparation for our next chapter as soon as we are allowed to fling open our door post lockdown, so please watch this space and make sure to pop in and say hi or goodbye or just to grab yourself a fabulously fashionable bargain!

To everyone who just pops their head in the doorway to say a quick hello during their daily walk, thank you too. It means so much to me.
⭐️ To the Black Rock Village traders… oh my gosh! What an incredible team of people you are. Thank you SO MUCH for welcoming me into your community. For popping in for the occasional chat, styling session, sing along and glass of bubbles. I will miss you guys so much. Thank you for making Black Rock Village such a joyfully diverse and friendly place to have been a part of.
