Spear of Fame is proud to have made the new Queen's Colour for the Royal Australian Air Force. To celebrate its presentation and to mark the Centenary of the RAAF we have created a limited series of 500 framed, Queen's Colour miniatures. Made with the approval of the RAAF, each comes with a certificate of authenticity.

We recently had the opportunity to create a one of a kind pace stick using timber salvaged from a demolished sergeant's mess. The natural colour of the jarrah timber is complemented by gold plated fittings.

We spare no expense making our satin and bunting flags. Our Australian National Flags, RAN and RAAF ensigns are all made with one piece of fabric so there is no seam through the middle and we do not stitch through the middle of the stars.

The Queen's Colour of Australian Infantry Regiments was changed in the 1960's from the Union Jack to one based on the Australian National Flag. However, with excellent care & repairs done by Spear of Fame, there are a few units who are still parading the original design.

This 1845 Pattern Infantry Officer's sword from the Victorian Era was disappearing beneath tarnish and rust and had also sustained some damage.

With some polish and a bit specialised knowledge we restored the blade etching, repaired the hilt and left enough patina that it can still tell us it's age.

It was great watching the consecration and presentation of the new Queen's Colour for the Royal Australian Air Force. We are very proud to have been part of the centenary celebrations and thankful to all those who have served this country. Here is an insight into some of the work we do here at Spear of Fame, thanks to the ABC.
