I spent a little time winding this yarn yesterday because sometimes handspun really makes hand winding worth it. This is some very old handspun that I spun when I was a pretty new spinner. It's beautiful but an odd amount and I was never quite sure what to do with it, but I think I've found the perfect project. This was a special one-of-a-kind batt from Nunoco ❤️ (you can find one half of beautiful Nunoco still making fab fibre as )

I'm back to working on my . This has been hibernating for *ahem* a while but I got it back out and worked out what I'm doing despite some inconsiderate person not leaving enough notes. And I'm just in love with this fabric so I'm determined to have it finished for the winter. I've nearly finished the body and I'm wondering about maybe a split hem? I've seen some done on this pattern and it's a pretty cute option but I'm not quite sure.
Anyone with any advice or hints and tips, send it my way!

I finally took some pictures of my finished handspun. This beautiful fibre was from and I love the colours. I'm really looking forward to knitting this. It's a nice woolly but soft BFL - and like all BFL spins for me, it's turned out a little heavier than anticipated, but I think it's still going to make some wonderful squishy socks.

I've been working on a couple of new projects for the new year and I'm very excited to let you know that this year I'll be released limited edition colourway/s each month 🥳

This pair are nearly ready to jump off the needles. Are you someone who loves to Kitchener your sock toes or do you stall at this point? I don't mind it at all tbh, but I know a lot of people do. Any good tips for avoiding undrafted toes for those who hate it? 😂
I've enjoyed this pattern from .lee.knits so much that I think I might cast one another pair right away! This colour, from the Riverwilde collection, has been great fun to work with too - it's vivid and lively and the perfect amount of variation from stitch to stitch.

Secretly, sometimes I don't want to ply yarn because bobbins full of singles make me feel like I have a hoard of treasure 😳😂
I know a lot of people enjoy plying less than spinning, but to me it sort of feels like magic...it's when yarn really happens ✨
And I really truly thought this was Nest but I started this spin *ages* ago and it turns out it's actually beautiful

I think Canopy is the colourway in my sights for my next pair of socks. I've been daydreaming about a full set of Riverwilde socks.... wouldn't that be dreamy?? Canopy is a deep jade green with beautiful richness and saturation. This is definitely one of those is-it-green-is-it-blue colours and I just love it. I'm thinking something heavily textured...maybe cables or some sort of herringbone motif 🤔 (does anyone else get caught by alllllll the plans in January or is that just me? 😂)
All of Riverwilde is still available on either 4-ply merino/nylon or 8-ply superfine merino in the shop.
