Quick Friday night session to move some weight and finish with a quick conditioning burner.

OH Press - work to a heavy 3RM
Then max reps at 80% of that weight.

DB Bench - work up to a heavy 5 (I worked up today 40kg DBs over about 8 sets).

Seated lateral raises - 4x12

Cable flyes - 3x15

Tricep push downs - 3 x 15

Last week, I went over a crew that I’m currently using for training, being Overwatch Fitness.

Today, I’m gonna talk about Industrial Fitness.

I’ve done quite a few programs from Industrial Fitness. Some of them I’ve hit all time PR’s on squat and dead’s. Others I’ve smashed my swimming. Others got me extremely accustomed to heavy pack marched (thanks Tactical Athlete).

I started training with Sam and IF right from the start. Legitimate programming, no “you can do it, change what you need, yeah that might work” bu****it - it was “do it this way, or that way, stop making excuses and get it done”. Results come with consistency, and the coaches at IF were always there to pull your head in if you started making too many excuses.

They walk the walk, talk the talk and can help you do the same.

Give them a follow and have a chat with them about your goals and what they can do to help.

Training.

I get asked about training a fair bit, so here’s a little write up on my thoughts around it.

I have worked my way through a lot of training programs, some good, some not so good. I have decided to do a little write up about a few different companies who practice what they preach, and deliver legit training programs. I could write my own programming, but, there’s a few reasons I prefer to pay for others.

1. Tried and tested.
2. Simple. Just log on, and do what it says.
3. Support small businesses, and usually, veteran or first responder owned companies.

I have done a couple programs from Overwatchfitness_]] and have just started the Next Level program. It’s legit. It’s tough. It’s heavy on volume, which means there’s a bit of a “keep pushing” mentality needed for some sessions.

The ideal part, was speaking to the coach about my 12 month goal, and have a plan laid out, that if followed with the level of effort required, will put me in a solid position to achieve certain goals. With a plan laid out, the rest is up to me.

Couldn’t recommend more, checking out Overwatchfitness_]] or at least chatting to the coaches about how they can help.

Get amongst it.

I’ll do another write up next week about another bizz doing very similar things who I have trained with.

Every day is a good day to train legs.

Been a minute since using a leg press, but mixing things up can turn a stale training routine into something new and exciting.

Onto the Next Level program from and whilst it looks simple on the surface, once you get deep into a session, you realize a level of mental fortitude will be needed to finish the program and there’s layers on layers into why the is a legit AF program.
