Even on holidays the grind doesn’t stop. Using rescued lace curtains, my Grandmother and I are working hard to make a new line of lace scrunchies and bows as well as creating a metric 💩 tonne of extra stock for our official hard launch expected in March. In the midst of today with cutting fabric and an impromptu sewing machine lesson with my cousins, the two of us have made over 50 units with more on the way tomorrow! My Grandmother’s dining table is overthrown with 2 sewing machines and an overlocker informally named “Locky”.

Custard went on her first flight in late December to come with me to Melbourne. Wrapped up in a Bluey blanket, she made it here safely in my checked bag (marked fragile obviously 🙄)

Remember when I said Custard the Singer Promise 1412 was not running too well? Turns out my brain was the thing not running! I was threading the top thread wrong for the past 6 months 😭🤦🏼‍♀️
There’s an upside to this story… WE HAVE A NEW MACHINE! I would like to introduce everyone to Crumpet the Janome DC2030!! Crumpet has frankly too many bells and whistles for my (now obvious) pea brain but I’m loving it.

I have a secret I want to share with you all, keep it hush hush 🤫
I hate to say that my favourite secret bows will not be available at this market as I have had supply issues and they can’t be launched yet…

BUT!!!!!

these may or may not be some of the names of our new bows being launched at Youngpreneur Markets By Chloe at North Harbour on December 2nd!

The names are… Aurora, Alexis, Harper, Celestia, and Brone 🥳

A ll of these are designed for my big kids… baby products are in the works DONT YOU WORRY!!

I’m so in love with these names as they all have meaning behind them. Come along to Youngpreneur Markets By Chloe at North Harbour on December 2nd to come and read about the history behind these names. They are very sentimental to me and I will have photos of the brave women they are named after.

There will be bows and scrunchies in stock with a few bandannas and baby bows made to order. I’m working on saving any profit I make to officially launch the store… AUSTRALIA WIDE BABY!!!!!

Every purchase and tip goes towards the hard launch of Lukah & Co so we can start donating a portion of profits to a new charity every market!

“*sniff sniff* it’s good Mummy!”

Our new XL Scrunchies have gotten the bosses sniff of approval 😽 and are ready for Explore Markets on Saturday as a special part of MINT creations booth.

We have XL and regular sized scrunchies as well as a select number of bows and bandannas which are currently only made to order along with our headbands. Mustn’t you fret, as we have a fast turnaround time and delivery!!

Come on down to Lawnton State School to buy or order any of our stock and enjoy the food, music, and other amazing stalls as well!

Thank you so much to Bray Park State High School’s Arts department for their kindness and love this year, especially the talented dance teachers, Mrs Kerr and Mrs Johnson! These events and competitions wouldn’t go ahead without the work of the Head Of Department, Mr Adamson, and the Principal, Mr Turner. Thank you for your hard work and dedication throughout the year. Everyone has been so supportive and I cannot wait for what next year holds!

It may not be known that along with starting Lukah & Co in 2023, I have also been following the BPDT (Bray Park Dance Troupe) to all of their performances and taking photos of this lovely team. I also made the group a set of bows and I continue to create videos about the Troupe for various events! I am extremely grateful to have this opportunity to work on my photography skills, build a portfolio for myself and my brand and help out my friends along the way!
