WHALE WATCHING With Eye Spy
What a great experience in the Redcliffe to Moreton Island waters.The staff are amazing; really friendly and knowledgeable. The vessel is well looked after, clean & plenty of room to move around. It's air conditioned & seating is comfortable. There are many places, indoors & outdoors with different levels for optimum views. We bought the package that included a window seat on the mid-level and a little picnic lunch of chicken & ham slices, potato salad, w/roast pumpkin green salad. In a separate container were fresh slices of in season fruits; watermelon, strawberry, orange, honey dew & rockmelon.
🥗All the food was delicious🍓 They also sell a small variety of cold & hot beverages & pkt plain potato chips. There is a small range of memorabilia to buy.
It's nearing the end of the season, though we were lucky to see a
🐋 mother whale & her calf, who appeared to be just as interested in us, as we all were of them. They happily frolicked around the boat, putting on shows for us. They come right up to our windows. The last time they made an appearance, they both swam sideways out of the water like a wave goodbye. As we made our way out, there was a pod of 🐬 dolphins visible from the top 2 decks. They kept the distance in front of us so we didn't get a closer watch of them. While we were out near Moreton Island, a couple of 🐢 turtles swam by. It really was a pleasant day, a magnificent experience.
We highly recommend doing this tour.
