The Shoe Garden is the only shop in Queensland to exclusively stock women's shoes in Size 10 and up. There are two criteria for shoes at The Shoe Garden: they have to be available in Size 10, 11 and 12 at least and if in Size 13, 14 and 15 then even better, and very importantly, they have to be gorgeous! One minute and 40 seconds is as far as the lovely Clare walked yesterday before coming to a halt at The Shoe Garden. She’s temporarily living nearby and had planned to go for a long walk and set her watch to time it, but we got in the way! Hehe. She found two gorgeous pairs which she left with us until returning from her walk around 1.5 hours later. And this wasn’t her first visit. When she was in town 14 years ago, she also visited the shop and was so happy that we were still in business. Me too! x

Uh-oh, alright! New stock from popular brand Hinako has arrived just now and the gorgeous Sam doesn’t know where to unpack it. Mmmmm. Space is at a premium at the moment at The Shoe Garden with stock arriving that was due in August and is very late, plus stock due this month like these Hinako sandals. We’ll find a way though … we always do! x

I try on every shoe that arrives at The Shoe Garden to check their sizing, comfort and fit. I keep a pair of jeans at the shop and then take photographs of what they look like on my Size 12 feet and post these on our website. And yes, it is a very dangerous job too. Because sometimes the shoes don't come off my feet for the rest of the day ... like these divine Django & Juliette "Sharkie" slides with pretty floral embroidery. They were and are irresistible! x

When I first saw these slingbacks in the Bresley catalogue, my heart leapt with joy. Then I saw they only went to a Size 42 and my heart sank. So I contacted the lovely people at Bresley and asked them to "go long" in this style ... and they said yes! Woohoo. It's so hard to find a low, yet elegant, heel. And these are perfection. x
