We know not all bodies are perfect. Actually, we celebrate that – and support it by ensuring our garments are soft on the skin, full of stretchy goodness and hold you where you need it most. Our modal fabric is made to our specs. Combined with clever cutting, our garments fit you like a gentle glove without marking or irritating the skin, even in delicate areas.

Alison Hoenes is a freelance patternmaker who lives and works in the US, helping women’s slow fashion brands confidently get their designs to production. On the side, she produces the marvellous How Fitting podcast, where she interviews ‘slow fashion’ entrepreneurs who care about the products they create.

I found her podcast and thought Hummingbird Pie would be a good fit (pun very much intended) for her show. Happily, she thought so too. We talked about:

Our Boyleg briefs are made from super-soft modal, and blended with elastane for stretchy goodness. What is Modal you say? Well, Modal is a natural fibre and is extremely breathable too, meaning that it absorbs moisture from our intimate and sensitive area.

This is exactly what we want, because when a fabric is not breathable it traps moisture, which can cause irritation, discomfort and odour. 🙅‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

That’s why our design features a two-layered gusset, so you can feel comfortable for longer.
