Wishing you all a happy and safe Easter 🥰 May you have time to slow down and pause 🤗 A little bit of whimsy and nostalgia for you with vintage children’s books. I love how they often feature rich, complex vocabulary, rhythmic prose, nonsense words like ‘fuddle’ and sometimes, outdated terminology, offering a different linguistic experience than modern children’s books. The other thing that stands out is people’s names! Names like Trixie, Madge, Jinny, Gay, Tilly, Sheila, Hetty, Hal, Rupert, Edmund, Dick, Ralph and Lionel. I love it 😍😜
