Hello Australian residents, don't forget to fill in the Australian govt census online. Its due tomorrow August 11th. You don’t have to fill it in on the night. I completed the census online several days ago. It took about 15mins. All details are in the govt letter you got in the mail. Beware of scammers and never give your bank account or credit card details over the phone.

If you are overseas you don't have to fill in the census. Info here.

At sunset today I take a moment to look at the sunset, breath the fresh air cleansed by the rain. I listen to that duet by Lakme and all is well.

From the Mindjournal.

"Life isn’t meant to be just a series of chores and survival. 🤍
It’s easy to get caught up in work, responsibilities, deadlines, and everything you have to do. But somewhere between getting everything done, we sometimes forget to actually enjoy being alive.
Always give yourself something small to look forward to. It doesn’t have to be a big vacation or an expensive plan. It could be your favourite meal after a long day, a quiet cup of coffee, a weekend walk, watching your comfort movie, meeting someone you love, or simply sitting somewhere peaceful with no plans at all.
These little moments may seem ordinary, but they give your mind something gentle to hold onto when life feels overwhelming.
You don’t need to wait for everything to be perfect before allowing yourself to enjoy life.
Create tiny moments of happiness on purpose. Make plans that excite you. Leave space for things that have no purpose other than making you feel good.
Life isn’t only about surviving the difficult days. It’s also about noticing the beautiful, ordinary moments in between.
So, what’s one little thing you’re looking forward to this week? 🌿

True freedom is not found in controlling external events, but in mastering our own response to them. To remain balanced—the "same person"—is the path to peace. Praise is a ghost; loss is a ghost. The only real thing is your character. ✨

I stepped into the bookshop
and breathed in that perfume of paper
and magic that strangely no one had ever thought of bottling.
