I have put some guidelines up from the Government, child safety etc to let you know about chinstraps on hats and the potential choking hazards if the chinstrap doesn't have a quick realise clasp.
I am concerned that over the last couple of days there have been alot of kids sunhat ads on Facebook all of which have chinstrap but am concerned as i can't see a quick realise clasp on any of the photos in the ads. I have written to a few of them asking the question but none have got back to me so far.
Out of the care of your kids we dont have chinstraps but please be careful if purchasing from other hat sellers and double check the chin straps have the quick realise clasp.
At the end of the day all we want is your child to be safe.

Many childcare centres, preschools, and state education departments (such as Victoria's Student Dress Code guidelines) have strict internal safety policies. They will often ban hats with traditional chin straps or toggles entirely, restricting outdoor play to bucket hats, elastic-back hats, or legionnaire-style hats that do not require a neck cord.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION PLEASE READ:
Hat safety
Children should be encouraged to wear hats when playing outside. Hats and sunscreen are vital for protecting young skin from harmful UV rays of the sun.

Bucket and legionnaire hats that fit properly are a good option. Broad brimmed hats with cord and toggle are also an option, but make sure there is a safety release mechanism attached to the cord.

There have been reports of children being injured whilst on play equipment where a hat with cord and toggle became lodged or entrapped. A hat with a quick release mechanism will prevent injury to the child.

Children can receive severe lacerations to their throat and are at risk of damage to the vocal cords if hat cords get caught around the neck. Similar issues arise with hooded children’s clothing. It is recommended to remove cords from children’s clothing.
