Emprades Vintage & Design is a Shop based in Clarendon, South Australia. We specialise in Antique to Vintage Modern furniture, Decor, Jewellery and Art. Our range includes crystal, glassware, silverware, ceramics and pottery, fine china, Danish modern furniture & Antique furniture. We have a quaint coffee & tea room that offers home made cakes, biscuits and scones, excellent coffee and a range of pot brewed teas (no meals available).

Freshly rewired and ready to glow! 🤩 We just put this stunning vintage Lyskaer Belysning pendant light out on display, and it’s an absolute beauty.

True to classic Danish mid-century design, its multi-tiered aluminum shades are engineered to cast a beautifully soft, glare-free light. When lit, it reveals a gorgeous, subtle violet reflection that gives it an incredibly warm, atmospheric mood. the way the light shines through the light creates a stunning gradation of violet tones.

It is in excellent vintage condition. Perfect for hanging over a dining table, a cozy reading nook, or a sideboard display.

This is the first week this year we’ve woken up to proper ice! ❄️

We ( well Des did) spent a good while hosing down the windscreen of the van before we could even head out to pick up our latest load of furniture. It has been absolutely chilly!

But the freezing weather timed out perfectly with a very appropriate arrival this week: our first delivery of merino woollen scarves from Klippan. 🧣

Made from beautifully soft merino wool, they are incredibly warm, perfect for both men and women, and priced at $110 each. Ideal for days just like today!

Mid-Winter Solstice is virtually upon us, and although the sun is shining, there is a definite chill in the air. ❄️

With the cold in mind, we’ve changed up our window display this week to feature these two gorgeous, red woollen wingback chairs. They are just the thing for a frosty winter night by the fire.

Boasting a very generous seat, they are incredibly comfy to curl up in—or perfect for sharing a story and a cuddle with a little one. 📚

Its been a busy week! Monday started out unpacking the latest Container arrival from Denmark. Des and Heath were the muscle men while I (Pru) just supervised(!). Yesterday Emily and I spent the day unpacking most of the boxes full of lamps, lights and ceramic items. There is still so much more to do but we have made a start. I've included a few of the smaller items now available in the shop and on line soon.

These three beautiful vintage Art Deco design marcasite rings were all made by Uncas located on Rhode Island USA. They are all signed with the Uncas mark which is an arrow through a U. This mark was used from 1922 until 1950. The stones are bead set where the jeweller has pulled little bits of the silver setting up and over the stones to keep them in place. This is rarely done today due to the high cost of labour.

We love this gorgeous vintage, nearly antique, silver plate money box. Dating to approximately 1930, this piece features the Danish quality torch mark that was only used between 1927 and 1932.

It has remarkably survived nearly 100 years without any significant dents or wear. The slight wear to the silver plating on the bees' bodies reveals the beautiful, pale gold of the base metal—a feature we believe actually enhances its historic character.

Happy Sunday, and what a glorious day it is! ☀️ The sun is shining and everything seems to sparkle.

My morning walk was an absolute favorite today, taking in the loop around the Onkaparinga River in River Bend Park. Looking up river, the river red gums frame the view beautifully against the backdrop of Bekkers' well-tended vineyard. Turning down river, you're treated to the gorgeous, subtle colors of the cliffs.

Such a refreshing, perfect start to the day. Hope you're all enjoying this sunshine!

This lovely piece is made from light coloured French Oak and features solid timber through out with cabriole legs. There is a decorative veneer panel to the drop down section and brass pull handles. Internally there are waterfall drawers to either side. All drawer joints are dovetails and it is exquisitely made.
We have found these pieces are not only decorative but extremely versatile. They make a great small work station and take a laptop well. The three large drawers offer great storage.
