For this beautiful transformation we:
• Took in the bodice for a secure, flattering fit
• Reshaped the cups for better support and neckline definition
• Redesigned the back into a lower V-back
• Shortened the hem to the perfect length
• Added a bustle so the train could be pinned up for the reception

NOT EVERY TRANSFORMATION IS AS STRAIGHTFORWARD AS IT LOOKS. ✨

This gown needed:
• Bodice resized
• Skirt taken in through the hips and legs
• Sleeves shortened with the original lace finish
• Sleeves tapered and tightened through the shoulder
• Hem shortened while preserving the lace scallops
• Bustle added for the reception

What you can’t see in these photos are the hidden challenges.

At first glance, the dress appeared to need standard alterations, but we noticed excess folds through the tummy and pulling in the lining that simply didn’t sit correctly. These weren’t fitting issues—they were manufacturing flaws.

After carefully investigating, I discovered the skirt lace had been constructed in multiple sections, meaning the only way to correct the problem was to painstakingly unpick it piece by piece before rebuilding it correctly.

It took several fittings, patience, and a lot of attention to detail, but together we achieved the result we were after.

The best part? Seeing our bride fall even more in love with her dress by the final fitting. ❤️
