🐂 “The Powerhouses Behind One of Clermont’s Biggest Weekends”
Some businesses don’t just support the community… they help put it on the map.
This week, we’re shining the spotlight on Clermont Agencies and Hoch & Wilkinson, the businesses who are the driving force behind the immensely successful Clermont Beef Expo held annually on the last weekend of October.
Every year, the Expo brings together producers, families, businesses and visitors from across Queensland to celebrate one of the things our region does best producing world-class beef.
It’s an event that proudly showcases the hard work, innovation and dedication of our local beef producers, whether their product ends up on plates here at home or in international markets around the world.
But events like this don’t happen by accident.
Behind the scenes are countless hours of planning, organising, coordinating, fundraising, chasing sponsorship, problem solving and good old-fashioned hard work.
This community is built by the people willing to roll up their sleeves and get the job done.
Julie and the team at Clermont Agencies are the muscle behind the trade section of the Expo, working tirelessly to coordinate sponsorship and support from businesses near and far. Every year the number of exhibitors seems to be growing and that is due to the efforts of the team at CRT.
Meanwhile over at Hoch & Wilkinson, Jake and his team commit to organising the highly competitive cattle exhibits, the cattle auction and the judging. For months prior to the event they are out talking to producers promoting the event and coordinating their entries.
The best thing about the Expo is that the event puts funds back into the community with thousands of dollars going back to local organisations.
Both Clermont Agencies and Hoch & Wilkinson consistently put their hands in their pockets to support local events and initiatives… but it’s their ongoing dedication to the Clermont Beef Expo and the enormous amount of work that goes into preparing and coordinating this event that earns them our Community Champion recognition this week.
