CrossXpollinatioN

CrossXpollinatioN CrossXpollinatioN is a celebration of fibre and textile art.

CrossXpollinatioN is a feast of textile and fibre art happening at Colac Otway Performing Arts & Cultural Centre. CrossXpollinatioN was planned to celebrate the rich talents and strong grass-roots interest in textile arts in and beyond the Colac Otway region. The title stems from local artists who had a vision to celebrate and encourage a cross-pollination of artistic ideas, styles and practices.

Thank you for your ongoing support of CrossXpollinatioN.

Your involvement has always been a vital part of what makes this event so special for our community.

Colac Otway Performing Arts & Cultural Centre is currently undergoing an exciting Expression of Interest process to explore future opportunities for the venue. During this transition period, bookings are being confirmed up to May 2026. With this timeline and current resourcing, we’ve taken the opportunity to pause and plan ahead to ensure CrossXpollinatioN returns at the scale and quality our community knows and loves.

We considered delivering a smaller version of the event but ultimately felt that it wouldn’t reflect the experience and reputation CrossXpollinatioN has built over the years. Rather than compromise, we’ve made the decision to pause the event for 2026, with the intention of supporting its return in 2027 - true to its vision.

We truly appreciate your enthusiasm and commitment, and we’ll keep you updated as planning for future iterations begins.

Thank you for continuing to champion creativity in our region!

23 years ago today, COPACC opened its doors🚪for the very first time. And then many times after.
And with every year that the centre ages, evolves, grows and develops, we feel prouder and more grateful than the previous year of what we are able to offer to the Colac Otway and wider community. 🙏

Thank you for everyone who supports us on a daily basis - we simply would not be without you!

♥️ We love what we do and hope you do, too ♥️

Congratulations to People’s Choice Award Winner of , Pattiebeerensart for her stunning entry “Pinks of Not Knowing”!

♥️ Clay weaving with club rush grasses and saltbush seaberries on stolen land leads to an intimacy with not knowing the secrets of this place.
As the ephemeral pink of the saltbush seaberries fades to white, and the grasses sag, I wonder about their deep woven connectedness with the Wadawurrung people. ♥️
