I have finally managed to add some new project bags to my Etsy shop. All are quite large, wedge shaped, with concealed zippered inside pocket. I try to make sure each bag is unique, using different linings if I have the same fabrics on outer. Photo below is just one. Take a look at my store for the others.

I've still been unable to settle into more yarn dyeing. There has been quite a bit of movement in the shop, so I'm going to have to put away these needles soon, and actually dye more yarn, especially if I keep 'taking' from stock to knit socks. This is a new design I've been working on for some time. It has finally come together. I've used a soft mint green in my Dogwood Base. This particular yarn is 85% Ultrafine Merino/15% Nylon, and super soft. I'm so happy with these. They have been worked toe-up, and I will soon endeavour to do a top-down version. Pattern design will be called String Theory. Heel photograph shows colour more true to life.

I have had this skein in my shop for some time, and couldn't resist it any longer, so I 'took' it for myself. Whilst scrolling Pinterest I found an interesting textured cable, so decided it 'needed' to find its way into a sock design. These socks are the result of that need. At first I thought I wouldn't bother writing the design up for sale, but after having such overwhelming and positive responses in one of my sock knitting groups, I think I'll make a start soon. The yarn itself is one I sell as Mistletoe sock/fingering which I source from https://www.facebook.com/platypusyarn.com.au/. It is 80/20 SW merino/nylon, and such a gorgeous yarn for socks.

Obviously yarn dyeing has taken a back seat at the moment, as I've been busy working some new sock designs. I have just published the latest one on Ravelry, and would love to have people join in some fun with an opportunity to win some prizes. I will have three prize draws - a project bag {large}, yarn, patterns. Closing date is Thanksgiving in the US. Please join in, and remember to tag me on FB, Instagram, and/or earburn me on Ravelry if you are a member.

These beautiful socks are a celebration of all that family is.

My latest sock pattern has been added to my Ravelry shop today. Available here - http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/by-request Hoping to have another one available soon.

This sock is built around a lace design, with added cabling at the sides, and a further small lace feature which brings the design together as a whole on the leg. The lace is busy, but not difficult, and the cables are nothing more than a simple 2/2 twist. There is something going on all the time, w...

I've been having quite a love affair with sock knitting lately, AND using yarns from my own stock. This design will be written up in a few days. It is pretty full on, sooooooo many cables, yo's, stitches changing directions, but I find it a great way to keep one's brain active challenging the concentration span, and keeping the fingers nimble.

More socks using my shop yarn. This pair was made with Callitris Fingering/Sock which is BFL/nylon {that's blue-faced Leicester}, in an almost solid warm tan. Fabric feels strong so the socks should be durable. Pattern has just been published on Ravelry today - http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/bogie--bacall

This pattern comprises columns of textured stitches in combination with easy cables. Although pattern as written fits 9½ inch lady’s foot, sizing can be changed by means of fewer/extra stitches and/or the use of different sized needles. The textured nature of the fabric does, however, make for a mor...

Okay, so the socks are finished, and I just love them. Coolibah Fingering/Sock is so soft. I have 31 grams left. I need to iron out a few issues with charting and stitch count but will get the pattern written up and tested soon. The second pair will be made in a different yarn and a more 'male' colour..............😉

I have decided it was high time I put out another sock pattern. I wanted something with texture and cabling, that might be a little bit gender neutral, given that my other designs are fairly feminine. The yarn I'm using has been taken from shop stock - Coolibah Sock/Fingering 75/25 in a colourway called Celery. The skein is quite solid in colour with only the slightest hint of tonality. I may need to tweak the stitch count and needle size a bit, but hope to get the pattern out in the next few weeks.

I've finally managed to dye a few skeins again. I was spurred on by the dyers in the We Aren't Going To Spendigo group, and felt I needed to quickly add a bit of new stock to the shop. The speckled skeins have all been dyed with a movie theme in mind. There is also an amethyst gradient set which includes a 50g bonus skein.

Sadly, no yarn dyeing recently. Others things in my life have put paid to my escapades with dye pots.
