Oh my gosh, what a wet, windy, whirlwind of a day!!

We are SO grateful to all our amazingly enthusiastic new customers but also - and especially - to our long-standing local, loyal collectors. Your collective engagement and considered spending decisions have meant SO much ❤️

So much so, that today, we have absolutely filled both our amazing - and very different - spaces to the brim with treasures.. from literally $1 to $1000 💃🏽🕺🏻

Take a little time out this weekend, enjoy slices of history, a little chocolate, and breathe ✨️

I've always loved this adage, to embrace the unknown, to be curious, bold, and courageous when embarking on a new adventure.

There are as many versions of a 'daring adventure' as there are people in this world. And this month, we decided to be daring and open a second space at Capital Bazaar 🎯

So all that stuff that is still sitting in our spare rooms, sheds, and storage space is now getting a chance to shine.

And to all of you who have been with us since the days of our shop in Cooma, this is for you!! All those fabulous rustic, Snowy Mountains, shed fresh finds are front and centre, and there is still SO much to come.

We can't wait for you to visit 🤠

Fit-out almost finished. A little paint, a lot of heavy lifting 😉 and next week Tuesday? Filling the space with so much amazing stock.

Saint Valentine was a bishop in the Roman Empire who ministered to the persecuted. His body was buried on February 14, and since at least the eighth century, this date has been observed as the Feast of Saint Valentine ❤️

Thus, we find ourselves observing the tussle of legends... no less because, during the Middle Ages, it was believed that birds paired with passion only in mid-February 💞

In honour of sentimental customs, occasionally posing as historical fact, today, we continue to celebrate and dedicate this day to those we love 💖

Grand gestures, a little love note tucked between pillows, or the romance of a literary dedication, the legend of St Valentine endures.. including in this book of verse, composed and published by a politician, no less 😉

As the sun sets on this wild and windy Sunday, we're almost ready to introduce you to our new adventure!

Lots of you will already know all about it because I've been excitedly gabbing about it for weeks 😉 but, we decided we just couldn't say no to joining a fabulous new vintage, antique, and mid century emporium .bazaar in Canberra.

You can still find us and all the very best of our Snowy Mountains country rustic treasures but at Capital Bazaar you'll step inside our mountain lodge, lose yourself in our library of old books, as Brutus the learned stag watches on 🦌

Hiding all the eggs for today's great Easter egg hunts is all done and dusted, so now this little guy is having a wee rest.

Made by Dakin in 1962 as part of their Dream Pets range, this little Bunny is just the cutest and just $18 🐰

Dirty Janes Canberra was buzzing with excitement this week!

A very talented collaboration of stylists sashayed in and got to work, creating a delicious feast for the senses.

A sublime Christmas table designed to inspire, with fresh foliage, dried fruits, and pops of cherry red.

Mixing vintage treasures with artisan pieces, this curated collection featured our softly scalloped duck egg blue dinner plates, framed by Dutch c.1920s silver flatware - that once upon a time belonged to my grandparents! - and a pair of our etched wine glasses 🍒

Classic French country meets the Australian High Country 🥰
