My most recent make was some plain black caps for a male dentist. Please feel free to reach out if you have any special requests like this.
Please excuse the rough photo it kind of looks like an Amish cap here LOL but it’s because my mannequin doesn’t have a proper size head.

Some of my recent sewing adventures have been as far from scrub caps as you can get!
I was asked by my 2 girls to make them outfits to wear to the Harry Styles concert and these were the end results. It was something more challenging that I'd ever taken on, but all of us were super pleased with the results :)
All the funds raised from sewing my scrub caps are used to pay for therapies for my youngest daughter (left) who was diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder last year, so I appreciate your support.

In trying to simplify my page, I have created an online platform so you can easily see what items are in stock, ready for purchase. "Made to order" items are also available through the site, to ensure that I don't end up with unpaid/uncollected orders (yes, unfortunately this has happened quite a bit in the past).

If you'd like a custom order, or to enquire about a group or bulk purchase, feel free to message me through this page and I can set it up for you online.

Are you a Dentist, Dental Hygienist, Dental Assistant, Nurse, Doctor, Vet or Vet Assistant? Do you work in a health or aged care settings?
These are just a few of the people who have bought my scrub caps in the past.
There are so many reasons why wearing a scrub cap to work makes so much sense, but these are my top tips on why you should invest in scrub caps.

⌚️ SAVE TIME!
You're already working L-O-N-G days, and saving a few minutes here and there can really add up. Wearing a scrub cap means you won't need to do anything other than put your hair in a ponytail or a bun, throw on a cap and you're out the door!

💁‍♀️ SHOW YOUR STYLE
Scrub caps can be conversation starters and really help you gain a rapport with patients. When everyone starts to look the same wearing their PPE, you'll stand out and your patients will remember you.

📢 PROTECT YOUR HAIR
I'm not just talking about hair damage and breakage from N95 masks, although we all know that's a killer. But generally, you're working in an environment with all sorts of gross stuff that can end up in all sorts of weird places... your hair included.

Prevent your hair from damage when wearing N95 masks by wearing a scrub cap.

I've also had some lovely feedback from previous customers who said their fun pattern scrub caps made their patients feel more at ease because they looked more friendly and approachable when they were all masked up in PPE, which can be quite confronting especially when you aren't feeling well.

With another wave of covid looming over our heads, it looks like PPE is here to stay in our hospitals and healthcare settings.

Yvette D'Ath says it is important for people to remember that COVID-19 is still having an impact on communities, with more than 600 Queenslanders currently in hospital with the disease.

I’ve been really quiet on here lately.
My daughter has been unwell for a time now, and a few days shy of her 14th birthday at the beginning of April she was diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder.

We’ve had the full spectrum of care at the QCH ranging from the abysmal (I was legitimately cornered in a corridor by one ER doctor to tell me this was all in her head and maybe I just needed to talk to her more 🤦🏻‍♀️) to the most super wonderful and caring care from most of the nursing staff I have to say!

Of course half the medical professionals still see this as a purely psychological condition, while others see it as neurological.

As a parent it is incredibly heartbreaking and frustrating to see your child have episodes that look very much like epileptic seizures impact on their daily life, to the point they can no longer go to school.

It’s also incredibly frustrating to be told everything will be fine that she will be able to see a psychologist and they will teach her strategies to cope that will help the symptoms. Then only to realise that your ability to access any of these treatments means finding someone suitable who usually has a minimum 8-12 month waitlist or worse, isn’t taking on any new patients.

I’m still sewing in between appointments and advocating for her health, and I have a great selection of ready made caps so if you are looking for any there’s definitely ones ready to go.
