There were happy tears in the atelier this week… (and a few were mine!)❤️
I worked with our beautiful client J to take a collection of family stones from pieces that were no longer being worn and turn them into two completely new heirlooms. Pieces that honour where they came from, but feel entirely like her now.
First, the pendant.
We brought together emeralds, sapphires and diamonds from multiple pieces to create this incredibly detailed rose gold pendant, with her largest diamond taking centre stage in a white gold bezel.
My favourite part? We designed it specifically to hang from J’s vintage rose gold fob chain. The moment we put them together, it felt like the pendant had always belonged there.
Then came the ring.
We chose a beautiful feature sapphire, two rubies, two sapphires and two smaller diamonds and created a solid yellow gold Liquid Ring, setting the stones asymmetrically into the gold.
Not symmetrical, but beautifully balanced, something I absolutely love in a piece like this.
When J came into our Kirribilli atelier and we put both pieces on her for the first time, there were tears. Hers. And yes… mine too🥹
There is something incredibly special about taking stones that already carry so much family history and creating pieces that allow those stories to keep being worn.
And the best bit?
J still has more family stones waiting for us.
So I have a feeling this story isn’t quite finished yet. ❤️
What an honour.
