Hello our lovely customers, Jacqueline here - owner of Lush Design at Currumbin.
I have some news i'd like to share. I’ll keep it brief and hopefully not lose you along the way.
A tiny history of our business, 17 years ago we started Lush. Our first shop filled the space where you will now find Salt Mill cafe. Told repeatedly we’d never survive, we were entrepreneurial but had no real experience in fashion retail. But what we did obviously worked and we grew rapidly within the first 18 months. We undoubtably had some hurdles along the way, yet our drive, passion and commitment meant we continued to manufacture and design pieces that we knew our customers were longing for. With our drive and your continued support we are still trading at the beach front to this day, just in a larger space than we began.
As some of you know, I’m expecting my second child within the next couple of months and it’s time I step back and take a break from our business to focus on my family. I want to wholeheartedly dive into my role as a mother of 2. These early years with our children are fleeting and I want to be there to take it all in.
The past few years have been some of the most challenging and yet the most rewarding years of my life. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting some amazing women through my business, some that have turned into close friends. I will be forever grateful for the ongoing support and friendships and can’t thank you enough for your love and support. I look forward to stepping back into designing again one day, but for now I’m excited to take the much needed break, spend time with my family and embrace motherhood.
So for now it’s not goodbye, just see you soon. Lush Design at Currumbin will close it’s doors April 1st. A new exciting business will fill our space and continue to bring you beautiful women’s fashion on the beach front.
