If you've been to DAAF before, you know the earring game is STRONG. And it's about to get even better - Haus of Dizzy will be joining the IFP Fashion booths at Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair 🔥 🔥 🔥

Keep an eye out for their Kinship' Collection, a collaboration between Kristy Dickinson (Haus of Dizzy) and Kylie Monteleone.

"Inspired by the connections that shape us - to people, places, stories, and moments through time. Each piece is designed to carry a little reminder of the strengths we embody, where we come from, and what connects us."

"Bringing Kylie's incredible artwork to life in true Haus of Dizzy style has been so special. It's bold, meaningful, and made to be worn with pride." - Kristy Dickinson

From the Country to Couture runway to DAAF! The Kuku-Bulkaway Indigenous Art Gallery crew will be joining the IFP Fashion Booths this year with their incredible prints 💫

The Kuku Bulkaway Arts fashion collection brings together seven designers connected to the lands and waters of Archer Point, Wujal Wujal, Cooktown and the Laura region of Cape York.

Representing the Yuku Baja Muliku, Kuku Yalanji, Jalunji Warra, Kunjan Olkol and Gugu Yimithirr peoples, each designer shares their connection to Country through unique textile designs.

Their works draw on stories of land and sea animals, food gathering, family traditions and cultural knowledge passed down through generations.

Together, the designers combine traditional storytelling with contemporary fashion, transforming hand-drawn artworks into wearable pieces that celebrate culture, creativity and the enduring relationship between people and Country.

We are LOVINGGGGG the sneak peek of new silk pieces from Ikuntji Artists 🖤 You'll find the collection at the IFP Fashion Booths at Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair this year 👀

"We are proud to introduce our new silk range - Ikuntji Artists designs printed with such precision you can pick out every brushstroke, every layered hue of Country, almost like holding the original artwork.
We are grounded in Country, and Tjukurrpa is carried forward in everything we make.
This season we're proud to introduce two interpretations of Deep Waterhole Tjukurrla by Kumantjai Napanangka Jack - one of our most renowned and celebrated artists.
In this collection we see two expressions of the same dreaming: her Father's Country of Tjukurrla, the rolling sandhills, and the deep rockholes that hold precious water long after the rain.
The two designs are distinct in colour palette, brushstroke, and composition - a testament to the extraordinary breadth and depth of Kumantjai's life's work. One story of water, told in two different ways.
Worn on the skin, this luxe silk range cools and soothes like rainwater flowing over the Country after the big rain." - Ikuntji Artists

Stunning weaving work by Rittharngu artist Julie Ashley of Djilpin Arts, shortlisted for the NIFA Wearable Art Award, supported by Pacific Werribee 🖤

Julie Ashley is a senior and master weaver in the Arnhem tradition whose work brings together generations of cultural knowledge with a constant spirit of innovation.

Harvesting local pandanus fibre, but-but bark and natural plant dyes by hand, Julie creates intricate woven works that carry bush knowledge, stitch techniques and ancestral stories. Her abundant curiosity has seen her continually explore new forms, recently creating unique woven flowers that reflect the bush and billabongs and can be worn on a hat, lapel or hairpin.

Her latest work, a hand-held bouquet of 15 individually woven flowers, is a completely unique statement accessory. Mixed with local eucalyptus leaves and tied with handmade bush string and pandanus strips, it is a sustainable, "forever" bouquet crafted entirely from natural bush materials.

Julie's commitment to innovation sees her constantly reinventing traditional knowledge, extending beyond functional pieces to decorative art, sculpture and conceptual work. She takes her extraordinary technical skill and matrilineal traditions and pushes the boundaries of form and object, while always preserving her cultural traditions and knowledge and maintaining the relevance of her work in an ever-changing environment.
