My original ‘Midden Dreaming’ dress (my very first designer dress!) knitted and put together by the incredible Sue McClure Kilmaille Knits was acquired into the cultural collection by the Glenelg Shire Council Cultural Collection in 2025, after it was a part of my first Solo exhibition ‘Free Spirit’ at the Portland Art Centre. The collection contains over 11,000 artefacts, artworks and archives celebrating artists and exploring the history and culture of the region.
‘Midden Dreaming’ is now on display as part of an exhibition called Collect (ion). Exploring the ever changing nature of a cultural collection. The selection of objects in Collect (ion) features newly acquired artworks alongside objects that have long had a home in the Cultural Collection. 😊😍🐚

Today we honour the women who hold families together with love, strength and quiet resilience.
The women who nurture, protect, teach, heal and carry stories forward for future generations.

For some, today is filled with celebration.
For others, it may carry grief, longing, remembrance or reflection.
May every woman know her value, her softness, her strength and the impact she has on the lives around her.

Thank you for the care you give so freely, the wisdom you share, and the love you leave in the hearts of others. 💐♥️

Looking a bit Flash ⚡️for the Warrnambool May races where the gorgeous Myra Murrihy - Moyne Shire Councillor wore my Midden Memories runway dress to try our luck in the Fashions on the Fields. She came runner up for most spectacular hat that the talented Julie Gurry created to perfectly compliment the dress. With my stunning woven bag & headpiece created by the incredible Mel Steffenson using the same extra fine merino wool used in my Coastline Country dress woven with raffia. My hair was done by Ty thank you all so much for your time and effort in pulling my look together, bringing my vision to life and to Myra for representing Flash1A, carrying culture and story to perfection 👌🏽😍

Today we stand together to honour the fallen, the men and women who served, who gave, and who never returned home. We honour the diggers who’s bravery was forged in the harshest of conditions, whose mateship became legend, and who’s sacrifice shaped the spirit of the nation.
But I also acknowledge a deeper truth that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have long served this Country, often without recognition, fighting for a nation that did not always stand equally with them. Their contribution, their courage, and their stories are also an important part of this day of remembrance ♥️🌺
