PHYLLi ON SUNRISE 🤠

Did you catch me on Sunrise yesterday morning?!

I loved chatting all things hats, community, creativity and life in the bush with Edwina Bartholomew and David Woiwod.

In good company, I was fortunate to be joined by superstars Sarah Stamm and Binjang Tea. Check out their fabulous businesses as I’m sure you’ll fall in love with their stories too.

Such a special opportunity to be featured on the cover of this month’s The Australian Women’s Weekly, styled by mattie cronan. How lucky can a small biz gal be!

Watch along to see the full interview here. And drop a comment below about why you love where you live!

I make hats in regional Australia, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. ✨

I’m Laura Hall, and I’ve been handcrafting PHYLLi hats and headpieces since 2016, using premium European rabbit felt, up-cycled sari silks from India, and unique trims sourced from Japan, and our own Australian bush.

These aren’t trend pieces or fast fashion. They’re hats built to go everywhere with you, to gather every story along the way, and to pass down to for generations to come.

If you’ve worn one, you already know. If you haven’t yet, this is where it starts.

I can’t wait to continue creating into the next decade for you.

With love,

Laura xx

EDWINA X AUSTRALIAN WOMEN’S WEEKLY

In the July issue of The Australian Women’s Weekly, The Weekly is shining a light on rural Australia with the vibrant Edwina Bartholomew as Guest Editor and cover star, wearing none other than PHYLLi! 🤠

I can’t tell you how much this means to me. To be a small business based in regional Australia, featured on the cover and throughout Edwina’s feature article as Guest Editor for The Weekly, shows that it doesn’t matter where you’re located, how many staff you have (or don’t have), or where you’re at in your creative journey, the right opportunities and people will find you.

With 2.1 million readers every month, and as Australia’s number one selling magazine, this is the type of opportunity I thought I could only dream about. For all the small businesses featured in this month’s issue, I am so excited for you too. It’s fabulous to be able to cheer alongside you all.

So if you haven’t already, pop the kettle on and sit down with this month’s issue of The Australian Women’s Weekly The Rural Issue and read about all the fabulous women and stories featured from across our nation.

I can’t thank you all enough for your support over the years, especially those who made this happen, and if you’re new here, welcome!

An appreciation post for the finishing touches! ✨

This year was an exceptionally well dressed collective. I love that you can see so much thought went into everyone’s outfits.

Whilst PHYLLi hats were naturally front and centre, here’s a few of my fave extras - feathers, fringing, sashes, spots, sequins, sunnies, scarves (lots of scarves), headbands, perfect ponies, colour coordination, and the bags, oh the designer handbags!

It’s all in the details ladies. 👏
