Meet Saren Sajeevan

Saren is a DJ, musician, keyboardist and music producer with a strong interest in exploring music across different cultures and genres. He blends South Asian light music with modern global styles and enjoys understanding, recreating and reshaping music, from melodies and harmonies to rhythms, instrumentation and sound design.

He joins Ganathipan’s band for Kalpavriksha The Journey of Wishes.

Meet Anishsan Gowrythasan

Anishsan is a percussionist from Western Sydney, with training and performance experience across South Asian, Western and Carnatic music traditions.

Proficient on the drum kit and percussion pads, he brings together a diverse range of rhythmic influences in his performances, joining Ganathipan’s band for Kalpavriksha.

Meet Agalya Pavalan

Agalya’s brilliant talent on the violin returns for Kalpavriksha The Journey of Wishes, bringing her artistry across both classical and light music. An amazing talent and always a treat to watch her play.

She was part of last year’s Saptaswara and now joins Ganathipan’s music team for Kalpavriksha.

On 𝟮𝟳 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿, over 𝟲𝟬+ 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀, including choreographers, musicians, models, makeup artists, hairstylists, saree drapists, photographers, videographers and a whole team behind the scenes, will come together to bring 𝟰𝟱+ 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀 to the stage.

Adding to the magic, original artwork by artist 𝗨𝗺𝗮 𝗝𝗲𝘆𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗻, created especially for Kalpavriksha, will be showcased on the ramp and stage.

But this is more than a fashion show.
It's dance, music, art, fashion and storytelling woven into one brand new concept, a show with a difference.

You saw what 𝗡𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗮 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 and 𝗦𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗮𝘀𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 helped support. Kalpavriksha continues that journey, with all proceeds, through Paalam the Bridge to Humanity, going towards meaningful causes in 𝗽𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻'𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵.

Meet Abidev Kuhasri

Abidev has been behind the music for Kalpavriksha The Journey of Wishes, working closely on the sound that ties the segments together.

Known as Beats By Abidev, he works across acoustic music, DJ sets and live performance. For Kalpavriksha, he has been shaping and refining the music behind the scenes, giving each moment the depth it needs to land. Absolutely amazing mixes for 27 September.

Meet Ganathipan

Music has always crossed borders for Ganathipan, bringing together influences from around the world to create a sound that is uniquely his own.

A Sydney based world music artist and multi-instrumentalist, he blends Carnatic, Western classical and contemporary global sounds, performing across instruments including the veena, mandolin, mridangam, piano and guitar.

For KALPAVRIKSHA — The Journey of Wishes, his original compositions will bring the wishes to life, alongside pre show entertainment by his talented team.

Thank you, Ganathipan, for being such a special part of this journey.

We are so happy to have Uma Jeyaseelan join us in support of Kalpavriksha. A collection of her beautiful artworks will be on display, with selected pieces available for purchase on 27 September at Pioneer Theatre.
