DOOPS is a bright and dreamy, clothing and textile design label, home-grown in the Byron Bay hinterland of Northern NSW, Australia. All our colourful fabrics are designed by Jane Newham in her home-based studio, in the midst of the happy chaos of raising two great kids. Jane’s designs are inspired by the beauty and magic of nature, along with a love of pattern, bold shapes and bright, playful colo

urs. Inspired by classic labels like ‘Marimekko’, DOOPS aims to make simply-styled clothing that helps women of all sizes and shapes to feel joyfully alive and comfy in their own bodies. DOOPS is based in the hinterland village where Jane grew up. She prefers to use natural fibres such as linen, cotton and silk and wherever possible will seek organically grown fibres to better protect our precious soils and waters. Our fabrics are digitally printed using inks that are water-based and 100% solvent-free. Jane has been a maker and an artist all of her life, starting as a little kid sewing doll clothes at the feet of her crafty mother. She trained as a textile designer at RMIT in Melbourne and has also worked as an illustrator. Making the brave leap to self-employment in the countryside has been a journey of transformation and adventure (and hard yakka!) for Jane. What began as a backyard screen-printing solo experiment has organically grown into the DOOPS of today, committed to the ethical creation of lovingly hand-made, playfully designed clothing.

Hello all you lovely newbies. We have had quite a few emails regarding the width/info of all our fabric bases available. All our info on this and discount codes and fabric care are all in the description of each product. All you need to do is click on the pop ups and all the info is there. Swipe across to see images explaining this. A reminder our fabric section will close on the 16th.

We now will be opening up our fabric shop every 3 months for pre-orders. We will keep it open until then 16th of March. Please make sure you get your orders in before the cut off date and don't forget to use the discount codes on our website for discounts on bigger orders. All January orders have been posted.

January Pre-order update - Your beautiful pre-order fabric has arrived! Best turn around time to date! We still have lot’s of work to do before we start packing orders. We have to unpack and cut 1000’s of meterage to get ready to pack all your beautiful orders. We aim to start packing orders by this Friday. Again a reminder we have 100’s of orders to pack so this process can take time. Newbies look out in your emails for your tracking details once we have packed and shipped your order. -orderfabric
