“Nature, forever unvanquished by the ages, is a bounteous blessing to the life of man. We all need nature far more than nature needs us. This indifferenct unstoppable movement between man and nature will continue to the end of time.”

A prolific Australian photographer and a human who deeply adored the beauty of his homeland, Max Dupain spent much of the 1940s and 1950s travelling Australia on assignment, documenting the people, landscapes and moments that made up the country through his lens.

Eighty years on, Dupain’s words and photographs still feel just as relevant. A reminder to slow down, and pay attention to the wonder around us 🧡

To step into a maker’s studio is a special thing. A place of sacred ideas, and even more sacred skills.

Here is Nuñez’s Studio. Born in Brazil, Nuñez came to Australia in early 2018 - a lifelong dream turned reality when she found herself in Bangalow.

It’s here that she now resides, painting with oils night and day and creating beautiful, calming and tranquil works. When we came across her art, we thought she might enjoy spending a day creating in a few of our pieces.

Wearing our Chocolate Bell Sleeve Dress and Chocolate Foldover Flared Pants, she welcomed us into her studio and shared a glimpse into her world - one filled with patience, practice and creativity.

Before you get to pull on one of our colourful & warm hoodies, take a moment to think about the women who helped bring it to life.

Long before the garment dyeing process begins, each hoodie starts here - cut, sewn and carefully assembled in our Melbourne factory by skilled hands that have spent years honing their craft.

These are the first steps in the journey. Soon they’ll head off to be garment dyed using GOTS-approved dyestuffs, before making their way into wardrobes across the country.

Respect the maker. Respect your body. Respect the place.
