CONCRETE HOUSE IN HAWTHORN
Across three levels, large curved in-situ concrete walls define key spaces, with views directed towards the internal landscaped courtyard and pool terrace. The elevated position of the home also affords views across the leafy suburb and back towards the city.

HAWTHORN GABLE HOUSE
A distinctly modern addition is created at the rear of the house, providing open living spaces for the family. The geometry of the roofline as well as the ceramic glazed materiality are a reference to the sloping tile roof of the original building. The classic arch detailing around the entry door is mirrored in a modern counterpart where the glazed opening is framed by an arched cut-out.

HERITAGE IN COBURG
A glazed living space creates a spatial separation between old and new, opening onto a covered pool terrace anchored by a circular external fireplace. Rounded plaster surfaces and softened edges establish a shared architectural language that brings cohesion across the two forms. The project is completed by a fully landscaped garden setting, reinforcing the relationship between architecture, site and heritage context.

MONASH RESIDENTIAL SERVICES
We appreciate our continued collaboration with Monash University, most recently on student accommodation at the Clayton Campus.

In this large scale renovation of the original1960s buildings, each bedroom was designed for maximum efficiency, whilst providing a comfortable and peaceful home away from home. Integrated storage, dedicated study zones, and features such as magnetised wall boards to allow personalisation without damaging surfaces were incorporated. Fixtures, fittings, and surfaces were designed to withstand high turnover and intensive use while maintaining a sense of domesticity and softness.

THE AUBURN APARTMENTS
Appropriately named for its bronze veil which captures the euphoric afternoon light like the golden leafy trees that line the streets of Hawthorn, The Auburn is a series of individual homes which share a glistening facade. Working with a client who is both the developer and builder, the design utilises construction expertise to create a point of difference in the bespoke multi residential market.

THREE STORIES NORTH
The Victoria shell of this former industrial retail store building is maintained in Three Stories North, with the glazing wall inset to form a private balcony. The kitchen and dining spaces open onto the balcony, creating a large family zone that is enhanced with the beautiful original brick features.

PELACO PRECINCT
A new entry sequence is carved through the front Pelaco building to establish a clear connection from the street into the heart of the historic Pelaco building. A contemporary take on the old industrial language is used to link the original buildings character through the newer commercial buildings on site, and create a continuous, active pedestrian flow throughout the site

EARTHEN WAREHOUSE
Earthen Warehouse is an apartment conversion within the historic MacRobertson chocolate factory. Designed for a young family, the activity driven spatial layout provides a an array of activity zones. The part industrial, part natural earthy aesthetic creates a sophisticate yet warm and homely inner city living environment.

BRICK IN IVANHOE
Currently under construction in Ivanhoe, this heritage home is being thoughtfully reimagined while retaining its original character. Substantial arched brickwork was revealed during demolition, and restored to feature throughout the house. Contemporary gabled forms, constructed from recycled brick and dark metal, reinterpret the area’s heritage architecture. References to the original arches continue throughout the home, including a circular window seat that frames views to the garden.
