A vintage ship print with a real historical thread behind it.
This 1972 Dennis Adams Arnhem & Pera (May 1623) print shows the Dutch ships linked to the voyage that helped chart the Gulf of Carpentaria. The ship Arnhem, shown in the foreground, gave rise to the European place-name Arnhem Land.
It’s a striking piece visually too — stormy sea, glowing sails, and beautiful movement — perfect for a coastal interior, study, library or maritime collection.
