In 10 years of running Platinum Bags, I've noticed something.

The clients who come back year after year aren't always the ones who ordered the most bags, or the flashiest design, or the largest quantities.

They're the ones who felt looked after.

The ones where we sorted out a sampling issue without drama. Where we flagged a delay before it became their problem. Where we just... made it easy.

The question I get asked most often isn't "what type of bag?" — it's "what's the minimum order?"

So let's talk about it honestly.

Custom branded bags have minimum order quantities (MOQs) because they're manufactured specifically for you — your logo, your colours, your sizing. Our manufacturers need volume to make that worthwhile.

The typical MOQ for a quality custom bag is 500–1,000 units. Here's what that actually means for your business:

✅ It sounds like a lot — but spread across a busy retail calendar with events and promotions, 500 bags might last 3–6 months.
✅ Per-unit cost drops significantly with volume — your 500th bag is cheaper than your 50th.
✅ Stock lasts. A quality reusable bag doesn't expire. Order what you need for the year, not just next month.

Blackjack W**es in Harcourt, Victoria is one of our longest-standing clients — and one I genuinely love working with.
