Dark interiors are often treated as a reason for radical change, but an existing house may already contain the qualities needed to solve the problem. The challenge is understanding what should remain and what needs to be reconsidered.

In this Melbourne house, retained defining elements including textured brickwork and cedar-clad vaulted ceilings while transforming the darker living spaces through lighter surfaces, new materials, and a reconfigured plan.

We live and breathe vintage, it is a lifestyle not just a business.
Most of our stock is purchased locally, however sometimes we are lucky enough to find ourselves down south or overseas, at which time we always look for vintage (even on holidays, sorry @ my partner).
Every item in our store is handpicked by us, always.
We carry it on our backs/shoulders, dripping sweat in 80% humidity, lugging it from storage to house to store, international country to airport to Australia, filling every corner of our homes with it, hogging our washing machines and local laundromats, chauffeuring it around in our car until we find a place for it to land.
You walk in and see a carefully curated store, sometimes commenting “I can get this at the op shop”… this is a little sneak peek of all the work that goes on in the background to curate that space.
