Went looking for swords over the weekend, fishing the southern edges of the trench. ⚔️
Didn’t find much life in the deep scatter layer and the only bites had were squid smashing the baits every hour. Quiet on the swords, but that’s fishing.
Made up for it with some solid mahi for the table, plus a chaotic boat-side loss on a very large bull mahi that would’ve been an absolute horse.
Water is still sitting at a warm 22.7°C out wide, so if marlin are still on your mind, there’s definitely a window left before the storms roll in. 🎣🌊
