Today I had the honour of easing another brides mind with alterations to her dresses. She has lost weight since scoring these two gowns second hand.
To start we are adjusting the hemlines of both dresses, and arm holes for the sequin gown.

The lace on the ruched dress is temporary until the right lace is found.
I am excited to turn these dresses into gowns that make this stunning bride feel confident on her special day 💖

In celebration of Abbey Medieval Festival coming up, (sadly no ticket secured for me 😭)
I'll be working on mainly historical projects for the next month. Todays project is adjusting this 1890 corset i made for helping sell programs for a local theatres performance of Jeckyl and Hyde.
I plan to lengthen by 3cm on the top and bottom to ensure more adequate support, as well as using a new and stiffer Interfacing with my stiffened tulle for breathability.

Do you have an item of clothing that doesn't fit you like it used to? Well maybe i can help :D
Take today's project altering a skirt that has been in my closet but not fit for a fair while. So I decided to take the zipper out to take some width, though it wasn't quite enough so I added the corset back to give a little extra adjustment ease.

A few weekends ago my reenactment clan hosted our 19th (my 2nd) Spring Hunt where our clan hosts other groups over a 4 day weekend for workshops, food, drinks and entertainment. Which means I finally got some pictures of my medieval linen tunics, with a lovely detail of stitching that looks like mountains to me for the hem.

Good evening everyone,
I wanted to make a little post as i have been very slack with sharing pics of the things i have created or altered (silly hyper fixation mode)
I cannot wait to share with you some of the creations i have made for myself in the last few months, on top of the alterations I have been getting (including a wedding dress which i adored doing 🥰 Thats now 4 wedding dresses that i have altered)
